Delete your PlotFinder account
PlotFinder is made by Starlight Software Solutions. You can delete your account and everything attached to it from inside the app, or ask us to do it for you — including after you have uninstalled it.
Delete it yourself, in the app
If you still have PlotFinder installed, this is the fastest route and it needs nobody's help: open Account, tap Delete account, and confirm. Deletion happens immediately, and you will be signed out because the account no longer exists.
Removed the app already? Ask us
You do not need to reinstall anything. Email us from the address on the account, or tell us which address it was, and we will delete it. Requests are actioned within 30 days, and normally within a few working days.
Or write to info@starlightsoftware.co.bw with “account deletion” in the subject.
What gets deleted
All of it, in one go. This is a real deletion and not a flag that hides the account:
- The account itself, and your email address.
- Your display name, phone number and profile picture.
- Your town selection.
- Your link to Apple or Google, where you signed in with one of them.
- Your sign-in records, including the device and network details kept with them.
- Your subscription record.
- Your daily lookup counts.
The list of plots you had recently opened was never on our servers at all — it lives on the phone, and signing out erases it.
What is kept, and why
One thing survives, deliberately. Where Apple or Google sent us a message about a payment, that message is kept with your account number removed from it, because it is the only evidence anywhere that a payment was received. It holds what the store told us — never your name, your email address or your location.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Only you can do that, in the App Store or Google Play, and it has to be done separately or the store will keep charging you for an account that no longer exists. Cancel first: Apple subscriptions · Google Play subscriptions.
